I am curious if you have ever complained about intel gimping performance on purpose when it comes to their i3 and i5 line. Since 2015/2016, they have had no reason to gimp them but they do. i5's have been proven to be i7's without HT and there isn't a reason for them to not have HT. i3's have also shown to be i5's but they are held back. AMD does the similar things but they have been someone up front about it. When they disabled cores on the lower end chips, they made it clear that "these were chips with defective cores and we felt disabling the defective core(s) and selling them as the lower model was a better use of the silicon". Many people have turned on that defective core and essentially got a higher end CPU for cheap or have turned on the core and realized their disable core(s) are actually bad. I dont really see the difference between the m* (not pro/max/ultra) and i3's / x600s 🤷♀️ What the hell are you talking about? This is about a piece of APPLE hardware running an APPLE OS, and its limitations. Your nonsense comments make no sense and serve no purpose here. However, yes - I would make comment on a post about any manufacturer who released a fully self-owned product and then claimed to not be responsible for it's limitations - seeing as you asked. So where are you gonna take this nonsensical argument next? adrynalyne 1 Share Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/1435810-is-it-worth-the-2700-for-a-macbook-pro-16-m3-pro-and-36gb/page/4/#findComment-598869469 Share on other sites

However, why wouldn’t I say that about them? I even used Intel as an example. I’m not even complaining about Apple. I’m pointing out that they are responsible for that limitation and could have done something about it, but they did not. Whataboutisms with Intel and AMD don’t change what we all stalking about. Were this about Intel and/or AMD, then it would make sense to bring them up. They can use more than one external monitor. 🤣 Dick Montage 1 Share Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/1435810-is-it-worth-the-2700-for-a-macbook-pro-16-m3-pro-and-36gb/page/4/#findComment-598869474 Share on other sites
