Internet Security Suite; ESET vs. Bitdefender vs. other one?

Question

I currently have an ESET Smart Security Premium subscription, and is up for renewal next month or so.

Reviewing some sites, I also read that Bitdefender Premium Security has good protection rates & is light on system resources.

What do you guys think: stick to and renew ESET, or jump to Bitdefender or an other security suite (Kaspersky, Norton or a different one)?
I personally really like ESET, but if something better comes along I sure am willing to rethink my ESET-decision.

Windows Defender/Security is more than enough (install security updates and use an ad-blocker).  If you really feel the need to use a 3rd-party AV (for quality of the scanner and/or performance) use their free version. The suites just install a bunch of bloat no one needs and the AV scanner is no different in the free version).

What do you think are getting out of these products?

Stay with ESET, the best option. The land is not always greener on the other side :)

I agree. I've been using eset since maybe 2005.

...bro, nice rig, but what do you do with 96gb of ram? 😅

If I were me and I was going to pay, I'd downgrade eset to straight AV only and do away with the "security suite". All that extra stuff just adds bends to the plumbing.

That's what I did. I had the Internet security suite first but I can't remember what I was having issues with but something wasn't working right.

I renewed the ESET license with/to Smart Security Premium.

Never change a winning team, right?

One of my relatives has the Suite and most of the time, it just nags her about this n' that. What makes it so bad, is they really don't comprehend the notifications, so they're basically useless and generate FUD.
