The Day Before - Do Not Buy!

So The Day Before released the other day, and whowouldathunkit, it's not great.

For those unaware, this game was teased a couple of years back and it looked amazing. A post-apocalyptic zombie survival MMO, with incredible visuals and gameplay relating to The Division, Day Z and Tarkov.

Then there were delays, apparently issues with copyright or something...I'm not sure.

But then people took a deep dive into what the developers had showcased, as well as a closer look at the developers themselves and it didn't look great. Scene-for-scene footage from other games (like The Division) but with different decals, the devs have a history of hyping a game only to release a half-baked version of their image and running away, the devs asking people to volunteer (i.e. not get paid) to help work on the games they make...it doesn't seem sound.

Well Gameranx published their "Before You Buy" video, and...well. It's a bland, buggy, empty mess:

They mention No Mans Sky in the video, but I don't see this becoming a phoenix like that turned into.

Avoid at all costs.
