The app requires Nmap

https://nmap.org/

At the moment the App only scans the 192.168.1.0/24 IP Range.

In January, I worked with ChatGPT on a network scanner using Nmap. It lets you do the following things

  • Scan the network for devices
  • Rename Devices in the list
  • Add Catagories
  • Delete Catagories
  • Assign a category to a device
  • Search by IP / MAC / Name and category
  • Delete a device from the list
  • if a new device is found which is not already on the list it highlights it in yellow at the bottom of the list
  • Export the list of devices to a dynamically searchable HTML.
  • If a device's IP address has changed since the last scan, it will list the previous IP address in the right column and update the IP address in the left.
  • Save / Load a list of renamed and indexed devices.

When clicking "Scan for devices" for devices a black box does appear while Nmap is scanning.

Today, I had just put an image on a USB device for my Raspberry Pi. I booted the Raspberry Pi, opened this app, loaded the device list, and hit scan network. After the scan, it said the IP of the Rasberry pi had changed. It listed the previous IP on the right. I then used the new IP address listed to connect in.

Here is an example of what the export to HTML Looks like.
