Windows 11, can the menu color be disabled?

Recommended Posts

Every time a new wallpaper loads, the taskbar and the menus all change color to match the displayed image. I personally hate this and want to disable it, is that possible? Goggle searches yield allot of similar questions and a few 'suggestions' but they do not work.

Yes, you can set a specific colour in Personalise options, and turn the feature that chooses it from your wallpaper off.  These are standard options of Windows 11 (would provide a screenshot but am on a 10 box right now).

I believe this is what Montage is referring to (correct me if I'm wrong):

I choose the colors on Manual and the Start menu accent... try leaving it set to Manual, but turn off the Start menu option.

Just switched to my 11 box and yes, as noted above:

Personalisation > Colours > Accent colour > Manual

Anything beyond this (stock UI usage) is unnecessary.

Thanks, when I get a chance to, I'll change the settings. Right now the wife has taken over to watch YouTube 😁

We have YoutubeTV on the HTPC... so, I can empathize.
