jbarcus81
So... I'm still fairly new to the Wifi 6 standard and my router, an MSI GRAXE66, has Wifi 6E. The devices in my home that support Wifi 6/6E are connected just fine and just flying. My issue is the adapter I have in my PC doesn't show Wifi 6 available? Here is all the info I can think of to provide to see if anyone can help ... Attached images are here. Any ideas? I'm running Windows 11 Pro 22631 if that matters. fransaa 1 Share Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/1441392-wifi-6e-adapter-not-showing-it/ Share on other sites

Kai Y
In your Wi-fi adaptor screenshot it says you have an Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX200 adaptor. I think that's WiFi 6 only, not 6E. That is why you don't see the 6GHz WiFi. The Intel WiFi adaptor supporting 6E is the AX210. 802.11ax is both WiFi 6 and 6E. WiFi 6 uses the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands, and WiFi 6E is the same WiFi 6 technology but also able to use the 6GHz band. Any reason you NEED WIFI 6E? It's not a need ... more of a need to upgrade my Bluetooth version as I am dealing with some lag with a pair of headphones. What I would actually like to do is use the 25.gb port from my modem, run that to my 2.5gb network card on my PC and use the 1gb port on my modem for the router. But then I lose the ability to print over the network... unless there's a way around that? Separate discussion but maybe I won't need to do a new post. My ISP allows me to use both ports on my modem FYI... Ixion
There's very little difference between the Bluetooth versions on the AX200 and AX210 (I have both in different devices). A couple of things to watch out for, if you want Bluetooth on an add-in card like this you'll need a spare USB header on the motherboard as well as the free PCIe slot as that's how the Bluetooth bit of the card works on desktops. Most devices don't support Bluetooth 5.3 so unless you're seeing laggy audio on a very new set of headphones it's unlikely to make a difference from the Bluetooth 5.2 on the AX200 you already have. Not sure I understand your statement above about the printing, doesn't your router have a 2.5Gbps network port? Ixion
If your internet speed is less than 1Gbit you could use the 2.5Gbit port on the router to connect to your computer you just need to reconfigure the WAN port within the control panel and then plug the modem into that port, obviously if your internet is faster than 1Gbit that would be a waste! But since it doesn't cover as much distance who knows for sure.
