Steam: 313

GoG: 45

Windows Store: 2

The vast majority of digital games I have on Steam / GoG are older games I also own on CD / DVD. Many came from the Humble Bundle deals, or one of the crazy Steam sales where you could get ID software's entire back catalogue for a few £ / $ for example.

Most newer games from the mid 2000's I own physical copies for on the Xbox (where possible) or the Nintendo Switch.

Volume of games I re-play from time-to-time...

-Definitely = 10-20 minimum for a very conservative estimate.

-Maybe = up to 50.

-Unlikely = up to 100 (even lowering my standards a bit and factoring in things like nostalgia even though I might not currently enjoy the game as much as I once did)

so I guess it just depends on how high of a standard we are using to measure this stuff. but my figures I mentioned above is a pretty good ball park for me without spending quite a bit of time thinking about it.

but I will say... people who have hundreds of games I am confident only a small fraction of them are of any real worth to those users simply because when you take any random gamer and ask them to name the games that stand out for them in the long term, I have doubts a person can find 100+ games especially if they are not easily pleased and don't lower their standards too much or don't have too many of those more really simple games you can play and finish fairly quickly. because I am not expecting a person to have extremely high standards, but eventually there comes a cut off point where ones interest in a game drops below a certain standard and one must cull things to keep a decent standard.

plus, it comes back to time spent vs enjoyment levels... because when it comes to movies I can go AT LEAST 300 minimum worth re-watching here and there since those only use roughly 2hrs of ones time per movie. but with games, while I get there are some quick-pick-up-and-play types, if you exclude those (or at least don't have too many of these), you are going to have to spend quite a few hours at least finishing some games and in this regard you will pretty much be forced to be more selective when it takes days or weeks to finish. still... even if we have no restrictions on what people can count, so any games whether it takes a fair amount of time to finish or say 30min-1hr or so to finish or one just plays for that long and then stops, you still got to draw the line somewhere to keep ones standards from falling too low and people only have a certain amount of time to spend on games/movies etc.

p.s. I am of the mindset games are ultimately one of two categories... A)Games you replay here and there as the years pass. and... B)Games not worth replaying here and there as the years pass.

In my collection I have replayed Sable (i play that every year), Horizon Zero Dawn, Skyrim (multiple times), Diablo 1,2,3 and a few more. Out of the 600+ I have, I have finished 105. A lot I wont replay, but was entertaining for the time.
