f-405sb
I have an old led tv that the computer recognises as 1360x768 resolution, i just use Custom Resolution Utility (CRU) to add 1920x1080 resolution I also enabled Internal Graphics card Intel HD 630 and it works just like a vga converter to my graphics card, no need extra adapters, converter or cable to use led tv PS: bought this cheap hdmi to vga and dvi to vga converter, it just burns out in a couple of weeks, even days. Ixion
Is it displaying 1920x1080 or is the TV downscaling it? Lots of the Older "HD Ready" TVs only did 720p or 1360x768 which they claimed was full HD by using interlacing (1080i). Ixion
Nice, I've used a TV as a monitor for years, currently on a 48" LG 120Hz 4k OLED TV, makes for a lovely monitor f-405sb 1 Share Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/1443691-lcd-tv-resolution-fix-1920x1080-no-gpu-output/#findComment-598915474 Share on other sites

goretsky Supervisor Posted July 11 Supervisor Share Posted July 11 Hello, Just to confirm, have you looked up the brand and model of the TV to confirm that it has 1920×1080 resolution? Also, have you checked to see if the manufacturer provides a monitor profile information file (aka device driver) for the device to use it as monitor with Windows? Regards, Aryeh Goretsky Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/1443691-lcd-tv-resolution-fix-1920x1080-no-gpu-output/#findComment-598915564 Share on other sites
f-405sb
to clear things up, the igpu detects the tv as a 1360, but using CRU I can use 1920 same as an adapter converter would do. And using motherboard vga port the dgpu is using its computing power and fps to output it to the tv Edited July 11 by f-405sb Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/1443691-lcd-tv-resolution-fix-1920x1080-no-gpu-output/#findComment-598915590 Share on other sites
