Cooling FAN replacement

Recommended Posts

I want to replace cooling fan. Can you please highlight/mark in my Laptop backside screenshot which screw to open to get access to the fan easily to replace it. There are so many screws.

I am doing it DIY.

Laptop model : HP Pavilion 15-n012TX

After watching this video , I will not buy HP laptop ever. What a pathetic design inside. Huge number of screws.

I would fire that designer who  suggested to use these many screws.

Thanks for the video. Very useful

Most laptops are like that.. Not all, but most.

Consoles are worse than that..

I remember LTT opening bugus SSD's. That had glue on it. ;)

You should have a look at the laptops in the early 2000s, soooooo may screws, and don't get me  started on the macbook keyboard replacement , i think i counted 90 screws on the keyboard alone

I've just taken a look at my laptop, and I think I need to remove 17 screws to get to the internals. Doesn't seem too bad for me since I would only do it when replacing something or cleaning it out. And at least they're numbered:

I'm not you know, last step, remove 67 screws. That's after completing disassembling the whole laptop. I did it once, never again

Still, that's Apple's fault. Pretty simple, they don't want you in it.. 😛
