(Not saying I prefer reddit because I don't like how everything there is karma based) I think we can edit for a short time on neowin, but then that ability goes away. As I recall a couple of years ago there were a couple of members, who shall remain nameless, who were caught going back a couple of weeks after posting and changing their comments to make the conversation look completely different. I don't know if that has anything to do with your request though.
