In other Niner news, the San Francisco 49ers have released 12-year veteran offensive lineman Derrick Deese, 11-year veteran Garrison Hearst and eight-year veteran defensive lineman Sean Moran, it was announced today. http://www.49ers.com/newsroom/DisplayNews.asp?newsid=1715 Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/144607-to-blows-chance-at-free-agency/ Share on other sites

mattmatik
Nah, I think he wants to stay now. It appears Jeff Garcia is going to be released Tuesday or Wednesday if he doesn't restructure his contract. Terrell's biggest issue was Garcia, and if Tim Rattay becomes the starter, I think there's a 90% chance he'll re-sign with the 49ers. After Rattay's performances last year, wouldn't be a bad idea. They also released Garrisson Hearst, opening up a little more cap room because he wouldn't restructure his deal.
