The prospect of intelligent alien life in our universe continues to tantalize stargazers and lawmakers alike. In a wide-ranging interview on the future of the US Space program, Arizona Senator and former NASA astronaut Mark Kelly does not impatiently snicker at the mention of extraterrestrial life. Far from it. In fact, he says, we owe it to the brave military personnel who have seen inexplicable occurrences to investigate them as intensely as possible.

Fwiw, I believe in aliens. the universe has trillions of planets and moons and that is only the observable universe. As far as we know the universe could be infinite. No one knows.

Given this it is inconceivable to me that this planet is the sole planet containing intelligent life.

Having said that however I don't believe we have been visited by aliens. The sheer enormity of the universe and the time it takes to get around even at light speed is prohibitive.

In any event, just my idea. No one knows just as no one knows how the universe began and anyone claiming to know is an outright liar probably attempting to sell you something.
