BoondockSaint
I would try completely cleaning any existing drivers with DDU, and then clean installing with vanilla nVidia drivers (not the Asus ones). You can find DDU here https://www.wagnardsoft.com/display-driver-uninstaller-ddu- It will get rid of all driver files and any registry keys from previous installations. Make sure to get your driver from https://www.nvidia.com/ , use the download page to find the right package for your laptop. ThaCrip
Immediate thing I notice is that driver version appears to be quite old. Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/1447766-gl703ge-1060-cant-read-ghraphic-card/#findComment-598939640 Share on other sites

nekrosoft13
Some mobile GPUs do have custom dev_ids, that you will have to use custom modded driver to install the latest version. nekrosoft13
these already exist. note: this is a modded driver to add missing/obsolete dev_ids. Combability is not guaranteed. Use at your own risk. hellowalkman 1 Share Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/1447766-gl703ge-1060-cant-read-ghraphic-card/#findComment-598939726 Share on other sites

goretsky Supervisor Posted October 19 Supervisor Share Posted October 19 Hello, Since this laptop was purchased used, I would suggest wiping the drive and reinstalling the operating system from the manufacturer's recovery media (you can usually download it from them), or the more generic Windows installation media. Then use Windows Update to get the OS and drivers up to date, and install whatever utility the laptop manufacturer has to get any customized drivers or machines-specific software. Then you should have a "clean slate" computer on which to work and play.
