My Windows Widgets screen has gone blank since several days.
Also, the temperature is not shown, and some latest news snippets.

I thought it was the recent W11 update, but that's not the case (on another computer it's still working).
I do see that the Windows Widget process is not running.

Multiple attempts have been made by me, e.g. reinstalling Microsoft Edge WebView2, re-installion of Windows Web Experience Pack, turning on and off the Widgets via Taskbar.

Nothing worked.

What can be the case here?

How do you know that the Widget service hasn't started, but you don't know its name?

Start a new process from Task Manager, selecting "run new task" and entering the process name.

I think that is about as much as I can help. I don't use Windows often anymore, and I don't use their widgets.

EDIT: Also, using PowerShell you want to look for the following package: MicrosoftWindows.Client.WebExperience

Remove that and put it back again, see if that helps.
