Can someone help me with a old flip phone?

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone. I found this website and I hope someone can help me.

I have an old flip phone (Samsung SGH-T301G) that I used to have with TracFone.  I recently had a death in my family and remembered I had tests and pictures on this old phone of the person that passed away that I would like to get off of it.

The phone surprisingly boots and charges, but I get a message that the SIM Card is Rejected, which I am assuming is because it doesn't have service, and then I can't get past this error. My nephew tried to plug the phone into his computer and it doesn't show up for him to get the pictures off either.

Does anyone know how I can get past this error message about the SIM so I can get to my menus? I just want to get my pictures and see my text messages.

Thank you for your help. I know this is an old phone and I hope someone can help. I hope I posted this in the right place too.

If the pictures are on the SIM, plug it into another device that will allow you to get around the error message.

It's odd, though. I've seen SIM error messages before, but nothing that prevents me from accessing the data on the SIM...normally it just tells me that the Service Provider won't give me a signal...

Can you try to remove the sim card thats in there?

Does it show up to the device manager at all? If so, you could try the app Bitpim.

Recently recovered photos off an old flip phone. In my case I had to whipout an old XP laptop. In your case that phone came out in 2009.
