Slipknot- Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses)

slipknot arent talented. Heck 4 of the members dont even do anything half the time, i saw them play on 'The Tonight show' and all shawn guy did was hit the side of a keg with a baseball bat every now and then, and i dont even think chris guy did anything!

as for craig and gas mask guy (sid i think it is), i dont know what they are doing in a metal band (very little, and thats being kind)

Mick and Jim are terrible guitarists and couldn't play nearly a quater the stuff Metallica's Kirk Hammett ( 11th best guitarist of all time) plays (i think it would be halarious to see mick try and play 'master of puppets'), seriously if they are good guitarists, then why dont they bloody well put some solos in a few songs as a display of talent. If you want to see real guitar talent, check out Thin Lizzy, Metallica or Hendrix.

OK, corey has a strong voice i admit but it goes to waste on all that tuneless screaming!

I reckon I could whittle slipknot down into a 5 person band and they would sound the exact same.

As for the masks.... they are sooo sad, cant the babies show their little faces to their own paying fans fans?

And dont give me **** like 'yeah well you just dont know slipknot well enough' cos i used to be a big fan of them and have heard all of the songs up to this album and that includes mate feed kill repeat.

oh, please, that list its risible, it doesnt even include Steve Vai, Satriani, Eric Johnson, yngwie malmsteen, Tommy Iommi and they put David Gilmour, Adam Jones and Randy Rhoads in a very low position, and in the other hand, Tom Morello at 26? Santana at 15? COBAIN AT 12? cobain and Morello doesnt even deserve to be on that list!

please, take this list out of my face, this list is a disgrace for music.

Another thing, that list was published by Rolling Stone, those people doesnt even consider less known guitarrist that are a lot better that some in that list, like: Ricardo Amorim, Julio Revueltas, Emppu Vuorinen or Christoffer Johnsoon

Rolling Stone its almost a pop magazine, I rest my case

that list is the top most enjoyable to listen to

according to whom? the fans or a bunch of decrepit "experts" that allow britney spears to appear in its magazine cover? they didnt asked me nor anyother fan the last time I checked, do you even know who adam jones is? or gilmour? or vai? or satriani? or anyone I mentioned? they are less enjoyable than cobain? do you really are into music?

and btw, dont mention slipknot again since thats not on debate, at least not between you and me.

kirk hammett was taught by joe satriani (a god), steve vai is a technical whizz and is totally amazing (especially box of tricks) he also starred in crossraods (not the britney one :p) adam jones is the guitarist from tool and is also very good and gilmour is singer/guitarist from pink floyd.... and now aside from slipknot, i now agree with your ways and offer you my err... kindness?

thanks! at least we are heading towards something also, Im not taking credit from Hammet, agreed, he is awesome.

and now, lets go back on topic.

i somewhat agree with you, slipknot members are not masters in their league, I am the first to admit that since, to be honest and cinful and toxikk know that, I used to like them, then to hate them, but now I admit that, for example, Jordison have become a lot better, and I mean, a lot, thats just a sepparate example, I think this album shows some musical maturity

i  Adam jones

anyways i find the album pretty "good", although, some tracks sound 'artsy fartsy'. Slipknot imo is a good band to simply "listen" to but bands like Tool for me have a place and relation to my heart that goes beyond bands like these.

listen to the new cd....

ummmm just about every rock and metal magazine in the world and what Metallica's drummer doz for a solo, joey doz for intros and choruses....has enyone seen the joey drum solo in the disasterpieces DVD? thats talent (upside down, rotating at the same time)

i'm in that video somewhere... And lars ulrich is a brilliant drummer with lots of talent and doesnt need to pull of fancy stunts to show it...

No denying that Joey is a fantastic drummer though...
