The Morrowind Support Thread

Keldyn, you mentioned a list of mods a few pages back and found most of what you had. I am still looking for The Lighting Mod, Real Sign Posts, and the Morrowind List Merger (So far the mods I'm using aren't clashing so it's not critical). If you could help me locate those I'd be much obliged.

My pleasure. I have uploaded them for you. Should you require anything else, feel free to mention your request here or contact me via PM.

Man seeing all this makes me want to install morrowind again! I played for a while, and what I love to do is explore. I love the idea of finding something almost no one has ever seen, or is tucked away such that you feel such immesence reward for finding it. So I never read the tip books or sites, I always skip that stuff, its no fun to be told how to get the loot or whatever, figuring it out is 3/4's the reward!

Unfortunately I think I'll have to wait until school is out before I play again, I'm getting close to exam times. Can't start slacking in this last month.

when i first started morrowind i found it really hard to get into, but after i had given up on my first character i started again with an orc and went totally on the warrior style thing. Once i had truly got used to how it all worked i must have spent easily 200 to 250 hours before i even started than main quest, this game has so much detail in it, and with the 2 expansions as well this game is easily the best RPG on PC.

Add all the mods you can get online and this games OWNS all :D

if you want too have some real fun (make a new save first if you're all about doing the main quest properly and stuff) you can do this.

there is a merchant that sells the ingredents for intellegence potions wholesale (no limit), some city with a castle on the left side of the map. its been a long time since i played. now go there, make some int potions, they will suck but drink them, make more, drink them, repeat for as long as you want. sooner or later you reach like 5k int and can make crazy potions that last a looong time and enchant without fail. make some str ones and go kill everyone...

vivec (or whatever the god is in the original) has the best soul in the game without mods. kill him. enchant the big daedric shield with enhance str 1-99. just keep putting it on till you get a 90+ str boost. or whichever stat you want. i think it may be 1-50 or something that fits.

and go find the daedric cresent, its great.

I bought the x-box GOTY version of Morrowind, and I am having fun. However, I'm wondering if the PC game is worth buying for the plugins? With my job, $30 isn't a lot to spend, and I like playing computer games more than console games. The only reason I bought the console version was because I thought it would run a lot better, but it turns out it runs just a little bit better. I have read all 8 pages of this thread and I think I should. What do you guys think?

Wow I've just noticed this thread and it's reminded me of what an absolutely awesome game Morrowind was. Now I'm going to have to install it again and play it some more.

Shame on you all for ruining my social life for the next few weeks

I've created a little mod with the TES Construction Set, it's a home for the player called 'Nerevar Estate'. It's accessable from Balmora and you can teleport to the 'World room' trough the guild guides at the Mages Guild's. It also contains a warp ring, so you can go to your home instantly if you want.

Some screenshots (clickable)

The bedroom, I used a set model for the interior, nothing really special about it.

grandroom_thumb.jpg

Some armor sets I collected, displayed on armor mannequins.

Another screenshot of the grand room

kitchen_thumb.jpg

The kitchen, I use it to store potions, the interiour is partly copied from a set model.

storage_thumb.jpg

One of the tree uge storage facilities, quite handy when you need to store a lot of collected items.

Another storage room, I haven't managed to fill it all up yet. :)

training_thumb.jpg

The training room, has working practise dummy's, copied it from another mod.

worldroom_thumb.jpg

The World room, from this room you are able to travel to numerous spots in Morrowind, I find it quite usefull and don't consider it cheating, you may think otherwise, I don't care. :p The NPC inside is a guild guide..

The house contains some other rooms as well, I don't show all here. It actually has a basement cave with a secret room and a nice entrance hall.

This is my first MW mod, and I wanted to show it to someone that actually played Morrowind, so please rate it.. If you really like it, and want to use it, just PM me.

,May 10 2004, 03:35] guys, new question, Im going to buy the Tribunal expansion, whats the name of that awesome red armor that apears in the game screenshots?

It's the Royal Guard armour of Mournhold, you get it from king Helseth after you complete his quests. :)

*kick* Doesn't anybody have anything to say about my house? :'(

OK, I'll bite... :p

It looks damn impressive. But then again I was always quite fond of my nice lil' Redoran mansion I got for being a badass ;) up near Maar Gan. It even came with staff! And a village grows up around it! Can't beat that.

Although I do quite fancy your place as a holiday cottage somewhere ;) Where exactly is it in relation to Balmora?

It's trough a trapdoor right next to the silt strider. :)

But it's accesible from a lot of locations, I almost never use the trapdoor itself.

And talked about the 'village' thingie, I've got the House Hlaalu mansion too, and I like this better because it's much more spacious and has a lot more room for storage.
