moeburn Posted March 22, 2004 Share Posted March 22, 2004 go here and download TCPView, that will allow to you see exactly what process is demanding those connections, plus you can kill the connections. Always store it in an inconspicuous location, and never trust netstat, since the first thing a (smart) trojan attacker will do is delete or replace netstat.exe. SilentKnight Posted March 23, 2004 Share Posted March 23, 2004 The current netstat can give you about the same information with the right switches, but as he said it's a common thing for someone to replace or mask themselves from using a 3rd party tool never hurts. I've used AutoPatcher on many systems including the one I'm on and have had not issues such as that. I still think you are looking at a virus problem that snuck on your system before you got your antivirus installed. Happened to me just the other day after building a system with AutoPatcher.
