it looks like the Blues will win over the Sharks. Sillinger with the hat trick, scoring a goal in every period. final score 4-1

damn, the stars won?? i thought it was over and turned it off...oh well...

I was thinking the samething, so I switched to the blues/sharks game. the showed updates to the avs/stars game and switched back over to that game and watched the rest of it. the avs did a bad job of defending their lead.

lol gotta love NHL fans.. Predators chanting "Red Wings" then moments later " YOU SUCK!" haha

2-0 Preds, Detroit really needs to get back home in this series.

edit- sp.. hopefully neowin clears up soon, took like 10 minutes trying to edit this :/

Preds do that to every team. It's nothing new.

As I said at the start of the thread: I don't/didn't want the Wings to play the Preds. Any team but them.

That bruins win was total BULL****!!! Anyone who believes otherwise plays too much junior b.

Raycroft did an AMAZING job though. He basically won the game all by himself.

The habs missed SO MANY opportunities its not even funny. They should have won by at least 2goals. And at the end... omg. That guy should have had a penality for that hit on kovalev.

Montreal deserved the loss.

1) They were within 30 seconds on winning the game in regulation at home. They needed to shut the Bruins down with the extra attacker and they didn't.

2) Kovalev should know by now that not all penalties are called in OT and not all penalties are called in the playoffs and thus not that many penalties at all are called in a playoff OT period.

3) Kovalev further needs to be tough enough to deal with a slash without skating into his own teammate and creating the keystone cops situation that led the Murray's OT winner.

4) No team should allow Kovalev to be the furthest man back. Especially in OT.

im a montreal fan, but i beleive you're right. They totally deserve what they got. A goalie can be the best in the world, but to miss on so many damn opportunities is ur damn fault, i dont care if ur Mario or Gretzky or Howe... if u cant capatalize on your chances then it doesnt matter how close you were.

yeah, montreal definitely deserved that loss.. that stunt kovalev pulled was total BS. the stick barely hit him.. and it hit him on the glove.. gimme a break dude. Serves him right.

well i JUST saw the replay, it looked pretty bad... even if u get slashed on ur glove, it still hurts like a bitch, especially when kovalev and whoever slashed him were going in completely opposite directions. I'd blame Souray more than Kovalev, he shoulda had his head up. Kovalev was going at a snails pace.

Oh well... i hope we have better luck next year. I was only really impressed with our team twice this year. The first time we beat Toronto and that ~12game unbeaten streak

I have to agree 110%. Kovalev was looking for another penalty in overtime. I was happy to see both Surray and Claude Julian say that he was guilty of giving up and that he should have continued through it.

I don't. Kovalev had his head down and turned up ice, right into Souray. I don't think that Souray expected his own player to skate right into him.

"He (Kovalev) says he got slashed. Well, yeah, but do you stop playing? It's double overtime, (the referees) are going to let you play at that point. It's just frustrating that this happened right now, in this game. I thought we played well enough to win."

In doubt OT, you have to play through some things. During the Leafs-Sens game, Tucker got plastered against the boards in the dying seconds but he got up and did the best he could until the buzzer when he collapsed.

Tucker is the perfect example of playing through pain. Just look at his face. :punch:

;) Lots of room on the bandwagon.

:woot: Still say Flames in six :woot:

 Still a lot of teams they have to go through,(Boston)
