Nieminen suspended TORONTO (April 30, 2004) -- The National Hockey League announced today that Calgary Flames forward Ville Nieminen has been suspended for one game for a charging incident against Detroit Red Wings goaltender Curtis Joseph in an NHL Western Conference semifinal game played on April 29. The incident occurred at 19:56 of the third period. Nieminen was assessed a major penalty for charging and game misconduct on the play.
