What a two game series and a great comeback by the Cardinals yesterday. This is without question the best rivalry in baseball.

that is the craziest thing i've ever heard, how can it be without a doubt the best rivalry when the yanks-sox rivalry might be the greatest rivalry in all of sports

well i'd say its a better rivalry, when one team loses, the GM doesn't just have a fire sale and buy a new team for the next game, they actually BUILD a team instead of buying one. I think we've seen what a team who comes up together and actually has some chemistry *cough* the marlins *cough* can do to a team who was thrown together by some joker with a ton of cash *cough* yanks *cough*. If Steinbrenner had his way, he would just sign every player in baseball so that no one else could field a team. Oh, and everyone knows the AL is for girls.

Yanks/BoSox the greatest rivalry in all sports? This is just more FUD created by the east coast media and ESPN. :x

Atlanta is on fire. after starting 32-38 they have won 20 of 27 and are now 52-45.. and all alone in first place. JD Drew extended his hitting streak to 21 games tonight with his 24th HR of the season, and Mike Hampton won his 4th straight game this month. i gotta give bobby cox some credit.. he has done a hell of a job with this years team

You and Scot said he'd give up at least 5 runs before the game was over...he only gave up 2 hits. What happened there?

:p

Never said anything specific about that particular game, I mentioned Behurle gets huge run support...I remember when Behurle pitched against the Phillies in an interleague game he gave up seven runs and still somehow got the win.

His ERA explains my point.

There are two division chases going on right now...the AL West and Central...not just the wild card...Anaheim has a legitimate chance to catch Oakland and or Texas and Cleveland is one of the hottest teams lately catching up slowly on Minnesota. The Wild Card will probably come out of the West in the American League and St. Louis will win it all this year...

The Cardinals are the best team in the NL and quite possibly all of baseball right now but I doubt they will win the World Series this year. I hate to say this since I am a Cardinals fan but they are really built for the regular season and not for the post season in my opinion. :(

My preseason pick is still the Cubs to win it all. Even though the Cubs are not as good as the Cardinals they have the one thing that most teams don't have. The Cubs have the hard throwers that thrive in the cold weather conditions of October.
