karma_police
How?All my graphics programs (Fireworks MX 2004, MS Photo Editor, MS Paint) only acept BMP of up to 24-bit. Use photoshop. lclock shows a white background not transparent, it doesnt matter if its a 32bits BMP Edited August 30, 2004 by karma_police Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/157465-longhorn-systray-clock/page/27/#findComment-584461861 Share on other sites
Mr. E
Hey RCube, I like the reminder feature. Keep up the excellent work. Oh ya, one thing I noticed is your still releasing "LC" with the green "BigButtons" with the white halos around them. I don't know if you missed my post in the past but I have removed the halos for people that use those buttons and customizes their calendar with darker colors. If you want to use them in the next release here is a link. RCube
Kleopatra, more lang support is planned. But after I redo LClock Properties with a more user friendly interface. Mr. E, I did not miss your post. Infact 1.60a had your bmp until I realized the bmp had a problem with the default calendar skin. The outer edge isn't smooth. I love to use your bmp if you can fix that. :) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/157465-longhorn-systray-clock/page/27/#findComment-584462704 Share on other sites
Mr. E
Hey RCube, here you go. I fixed the pixels a little bit. Let me know if the buttons look better now. What do you think about adding PNG support? bigbuttons_fix.zip Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/157465-longhorn-systray-clock/page/27/#findComment-584463412 Share on other sites
Breathless
I think you should add an option to have a clock that looks like this image that I attatched!!!! That would look awesome! Maybe if there was a way, also remove the grey part and have it just be a circle! :woot: I saw the picture on Flexbeta with a link to the Lclock 1.60a download Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/157465-longhorn-systray-clock/page/27/#findComment-584465307 Share on other sites
karma_police
No analog clocks, use avedesk instead. Just improve the reminder function :D Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/157465-longhorn-systray-clock/page/27/#findComment-584466341 Share on other sites
RCube
Mr. E, better...but still not that smooth when used on a light background. I think it is really hard to do. Because I am not blending the images...so you really need two version of the same button to work on dark and light background. PNG(something I really want to see calendar have too) is planned and should solve this problem. Breathless, hehe what karma_police said. ;) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/157465-longhorn-systray-clock/page/27/#findComment-584466571 Share on other sites
Watermoss
I only discovered this clock today after looking throught the sept desktops thread! Are there any more Neowin members progs which I should know about? Is there a page on Neowin with them in in one easy location...? Cheers for the clock, Colin Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/157465-longhorn-systray-clock/page/27/#findComment-584470929 Share on other sites
Stacker
I think you should add an option to have a clock that looks like this image that I attatched!!!! That would look awesome! Maybe if there was a way, also remove the grey part and have it just be a circle! I saw the picture on Flexbeta with a link to the Lclock 1.60a download off: This analog clock is from a demo of Longhorn and planned to appear in LH as a Sidebar flyout. IMHO it has nothing to do with RCube's LClock - lets focus on the tray clock and its features. If you would like to put some (or this) analog clock on your desktop, there is a galore of them. Desktop mod apps and Active Desktop solutions, in the latters including DHTML-drawn hands with bitmap clockplate or even embedded Flash clocks. I actually use Erik Arvidsson's "DHTML Analog Clock II" (look for it at Dynamic Drive), revamped and completed with the very same Longhorn clockplate which you attached. DHTML Active Desktop eats low resources and works fine. DFense
RCube, I'm new here.... however let me say that I am currently using your clock. I LOVE it. And, I am using at home and at work. One comment... The last Calender view had an "X" in the top right to close the calender. I understand that double-clicking on the clock will close the calender... but for the average user, it might be easier to see an "X" to close the window. Just a little comment. Thank you for you time. UPDATE - I also realize that moving the mouse with no interaction with the calender will cause it to disappear.... which is cool... but what if you are thinking about a date... what if you made the calender active when the mouse if over it... if not, if disappears as it does now... RCube
DFense, single click will also close the calendar. If you want the calendar to stay in place, you should turn off "Auto-Hide" in lclock properties. A little preview of what will be possible in the next release of lclock. I think some of you will be very happy to see this. Oh still no png support...only 32bit bmp. And the buttons can use alpha channel too now. :D btw, for those who are wondering what the hell is going on with the calendar...just a demo of alpha blending. ;) Edited September 2, 2004 by RCube Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/157465-longhorn-systray-clock/page/27/#findComment-584481492 Share on other sites

KGHtheII
Clock is great and i can never wait for the next update to release, but i think that you could refine that reminder system. Instead of using the 24 hour clock, why dont you use am/pm? Not really a big deal, but no1 really likes a 24 hour clock. Do u think u will b releasing a version w/ a choice for color schemes anytime soon? Also tx for the specthx in About! :) some minor thingie: - in Reminder setting dialog, in the right panel, at top, there is a | character appearing after the last digit of the time.
