t3h.beast
Damn they are sexy. I really really want one, but I really can't afford it. I only get about $200 AUD a week, Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/159756-dell-2001fp/page/10/#findComment-584759793 Share on other sites
Toxicfume Veteran Posted October 18, 2004 Veteran Share Posted October 18, 2004 this makes me cry even more. so affordable now but i have no money. 584758912 Well, you don't have to worry much about affording it, prices won't go up a cent until the time you decide to buy one..but 'when' can be an issue ;) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/159756-dell-2001fp/page/10/#findComment-584760006 Share on other sites
mick0142
i was thinking about picking one of these up, but my main cause of concern is the 1600x1200 native resolution... don't get me wrong, i prefer that, but being that i only have a 9800, i don't think i will be playing games in 1600x1200, my question is what happens or how severly does it happen when you try to run a game in say 1024x768, or 1280x1024? i don't want to spend all that money to have to play hl2 and cs source on my old crt (dual mon config :)) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/159756-dell-2001fp/page/10/#findComment-584761102 Share on other sites

There will just be a border around the image. Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/159756-dell-2001fp/page/10/#findComment-584761209 Share on other sites

(ps, a few digital pics of what a game looks like when you change the resolutions would be nice *nudge nudge :)) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/159756-dell-2001fp/page/10/#findComment-584761223 Share on other sites

The image still looks sharp and amazing! This might depend on your video card though... not sure. It might look a bit more blury than a CRT.. but I haven't had any complaints :) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/159756-dell-2001fp/page/10/#findComment-584761230 Share on other sites

ANova
It has color problems when running in VGA mode, not DVI. DVI is native so there's nothing to convert signal wise. Toxicfume Veteran Posted October 20, 2004 Veteran Share Posted October 20, 2004 I was wondering if this monitor is exactly same as this dell one: http://211.20.183.103/www/front/benqmain.a...ootId=undefined Forget the way it looks, that's different, but I am not sure if the specifications are same for both the monitors, that one is by Benq...and I think Benq makes this Dell monitor..so it got me wondering. Redestium
Ahh okay, I guess I got confused that way. 584775233 According to staind (and the FCC) the current crop of 2001FPs is still benq. Toxicfume Veteran Posted October 20, 2004 Veteran Share Posted October 20, 2004 Yeah, that's what I thought staind said too, but i wasn't fully sure. If the model I pasted indeed is the same model, I might think of gettingthat instead since they sell those here. :) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/159756-dell-2001fp/page/10/#findComment-584775755 Share on other sites
