Recommended Posts

Just noticed something else. When using emoticons, they now appear in your message box when just typing (instead of just showing up as text).

Does it hurt Microsoft if they add some nice icons to MSN Messenger? Sure looks like it. I was kind of hoping that they would use he same status icons as the MSN 9/ MSN for OS X side bar...

Sounds like a bunch of crap, only thing I was looking forward to was the animated avatar display... Gonna stick with 6.1 and MsgPlus! for now.

same here, oh man I was really looking forward to that, that would have been cool... :( i hate m$

Animated Display Pictures: If you go to Help --> Help Topics and then type "display picture" and click on "About display pictures" you'll see this standing: "Impress your friends with a custom, animated avatar." So perhaps it will be added in a next release.

Msgplus! doesn't work atm with msn messenger 6.2 because the protocol has been changed, propably for security reasons. Patchou is working on a patch.

If you listen very carefully you can hear bill gates laughing at us...

Meybie microsoft should learn from there mistakes for once in there buisness life. With an application targeted at the teen / young adult range you would think that the user feedback that they recieve must be invaluable to them. Instead they seem to be ignoring & cutting out features that would attract people to the service.

Meybie they are just trying to increase there market share in the IM market, adding the least amount of features possible to just stay above the competition.
