whYeNQue
for you number junkies... I just checked windows update... XP SP1a Download size: 2.0 MB, 9 minutes This update addresses an issue when copying music media files between Windows Media Player and a supported portable device. As the number of items in the Media Library increases, so does the copy time. You can help improve the transfer time by installing this update. After you install this item, you may have to restart your computer. http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=837272 Edited April 27, 2004 by FlishFun Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/161695-update-for-windows-media-player-9-series-kb837272/ Share on other sites

incubusdaemon
I've seen this problem in action. The problem occurs because it has to load the list of copied files in the portable device after everyfile, and as there get to be more files, it takes longer and longer and longer. If you stop a copy, and then restart it, it goes back to fast, so just don't copy 3000 files at a time and it's not a problem.
