I'm trying to get a pic of the alt+tab... but it's hard because when you press alt+tab then print screen it thinks you just want to alt+print screen... soo it gives you one window. lol I will figure this out.

the edges of the windows look yucky when they go 3d. why not smooth?

I dunno... I think it's just the fact that the window surfaces are rendered with direct x... and I suppose it doesn't render it with AA sampling on lol. I'm sure it will be fixed though... because it looks really ugly when you try to resize a window too fast.

Don't know if anyone has noticed this, but if you hold down ALt-Tab between IE Windows you can still navigate the page while the effect is on. Clicking on the image won't help but if you move the mouse off to the side you can see the links and buttons light up.

how is that "a nice blur effect under your cursor when you drag and drop"?  it looks the same to me as it does in XP.  What's different about it?

The effect is not on the icon you are dragging but on the desktop underneath, seems like a pixel shader effect. It blurs the desktop, and unless I am loosing my sight the transparent parts of windows does it too ? like the glass demos.

The taskbar "hover" effect you're refering to is just a notification when the window changes... like if you get an MSN message ... and it just looks like that with DWM enabled. I don't know if you get that same effect with it disabled. Not sure. :p

Can anybody tell what files cbctl.exe uses?

I tried to enable DCE on 4074 AMD64 build, but there is no i386 or amd64 in \windows

the file is included on the cd, but its packed, when i run cbctl.exe from an extracted folder, the systems hangs, guess its missing files.

So... is their a tool, that can see what dll a app is using

Have a look at my screenshot: https://www.neowin.net/forum/uploads/post-83-1083786311.png

Would you like to share your modification of msstyle please?

Its soooo nice!

Yes I'll post it here, I just need to fix one more thing with it and then find somewhere to upload it to (its about 7MB, those transparent png's are HUGE). As soon as I can do that though, I'll post it here in this thread :) .
