Can anybody tell what files cbctl.exe uses?

I tried to enable DCE on 4074 AMD64 build, but there is no i386 or amd64 in \windows

the file is included on the cd, but its packed, when i run cbctl.exe from an extracted folder, the systems hangs, guess its missing files.

So... is their a tool, that can see what dll a app is using

That should be sbctl.exe, maybe thats why it ain't working?

is it all stuff that came with longhorn, or did you have to creat some yourself?

anyway it looks nice

Yes and no, the transparent borders (the green ones) are just a lot of green png files inside jade, so all I did was re-color them (you can make them any color you want) and pack them back into the style.. then of course the greenish caption buttons stuck out, so for those I looked at the PDC aero demo and tried to recreate those black buttons as close as I could and put it all together and crossed my fingers and hit apply :D Only one little bug I gotta work out and then I'll put a link up for it.

Yes I'll post it here, I just need to fix one more thing with it and then find somewhere to upload it to (its about 7MB, those transparent png's are HUGE). As soon as I can do that though, I'll post it here in this thread :) .

I LOVE YOU!

thanks :)

Illusion456,

that would be great!

btw, you are fixing also the error, where the toolbar goes black if you maximize explorer???

hope you dont forget it...

THANKS

No, I'm not quite sure whats causing the black toolbars when windows are maximized.. I'll see if I can fix that too though as long as its a "skinning" issue.. I have a feeling its more of a memory bug somewhere in this build thats causing it though. The bug I'm fixing is there is a little space between the black close button and the maximize/restore button when there shouldn't be, it should all mesh together.. problem is ya can't just load these styles into stylebuilder and fix it, ya have to tinker around until ya get it right. Shouldnt take long though.

Ok I fixed what I needed to fix, I wasn't able to correct the black toolbars on the maximized window though. I was also able to shrink the file down to just over 1MB by zipping it first so I can find plenty of hosts for it. Here is a shot of what it looks like:

There are a few things I've noticed, sometimes the old jade style will reset itself and display the green borders again.. This happens if you open certain apps like windows media player before enabling DWM, when you enable it you'll have the green borders again.. not sure what else causes it but to fix it, just open the modified jade.msstyle and hit apply again and it should take it back to the altered borders and buttons. There may be more bugs with it but this is gonna have to do for now until there is a better way to modify these things

1600  MY GOD!

9000 at 1600 in longhorn
