this is awesome, the right click menu is easy to decipher:

(L) - Lower? all windows to 3d mode

® - Return all windows to 2d mode

(S) - Settings

(A) - About

(X) - eXit

i only wish there was a way to replace the "minimize" function with 3d mode ... i wonder if that could be done in with a new visual style .... hmmm would make a good compliment to shell replacements or themes that have no sidebar ... maybe an osx-like dock and 3d mode as opposed to the taskbar would kick ass, but only if you could automotically go to 3d mode when minimizing or removing a window from focus...

I hope some person who knows both the English and Japanese language can translate this program fully.

Hey wait! I was looking at the original Japanese Modotate web site when I saw an English translation for it, but the links are either long gone or dead. I hope I can find the person who intially translated it, so we can tell him to come here and help us translate it for "Windows X" and the rest of us :) .

You really have to admire these Japanese people. They are able to create such wonderful graphics programs for Windows (first it was Y'z Dock, now it's Modotate).

A.K.R., that's an old version. To translate this program fully, I need to recompile his source which I don't think it's neccessary to do because we can guess menu and things we can't are translated so I don't see any point except making a full translate for things we've known already.

While things like this look pretty cool, exactly how useful is it... I mean, its meant to save space right? But when the windows are still open it is taking up space on the screen, space which cannot be used until the program is restored to its normal state (why would you work on an application that is alphablended and its shape has been modified, not very practicle). Whats wrong with minimising to the taskbar?
