0 Si Veteran Posted May 10, 2004 Veteran Share Posted May 10, 2004 Wow. This will be nice if it's real :) Due to the nature of emulation, PearPC is quite slow (the client will run about 500 times slower than the host)

0 Jackalo
I ripped an ISO of my OS 10.2 CD-1 with discdump and it didn't want to boot from it, so I'm going to try OS 9.

0 Jackalo
That's what we're all trying to figure out. No luck on the 10.2 or 9.2 CD's that I ripped using DiscDump. I'll try dumping them from Linux sometime tomorrow and see if that works.

0 Axel
please sum1 soon post some success stories... I'm dying to try this but don't wanna waste any time if it simply wont work.
0 Jackalo
... I think this is the real deal. I can get it to boot from a 10.2 CD, but it errors out. Download Gemulator Explorer at http://www.emulators.com/download.htm, and run it. Select your CD-ROM with the MacOS X cd in it, then choose File > Create Image File From Physical Disc. After that, just configure the PearPC config file accordingly to whatever you named the image file (I used macosx.img).
0 NinjaOfLove
500 times slower......I'll pass.
