0 amr_01 Posted May 25, 2004 Share Posted May 25, 2004 this program is emulating ppc, not osx. if a user wants to install osx with pear, that is their own problem. and they may be in violation of the agreement, but there's nothing wrong with the software. it's perfectly legal to install PPC linux....or others of that sort. I downloaded it, edited it, but all i get is the msdos window which closes itself before launching pearpc...don't know what I do wrong..when I use the old config file it works... This is the error I get when selecting installation drive :( Translated: You can't install the application on the disc. The drive doesn't fullfill the demands for this update. The drive doesn't fullfill the demands for this update. If you already have panther installed, make sure you download the COMBO update 10.3.3! I first downloaded just the 10.3.3 update and got the same message (only in English), because the 10.3.3 update requires 10.3.2 to be installed (I only had 10.3) so once I downloaded and started the 10.3.3 combo, I was good to go. Edit these values in your config file: pci_ide0_master_installed = 1pci_ide0_master_image = "x:\pearpc\HD-OS-X-Panther-PREP.img" pci_ide0_master_type = "hd" pci_ide0_slave_installed = 1 pci_ide0_slave_image = "x:\pearpc\custom.iso" pci_ide0_slave_type = "cdrom" to point to the right drive. Thanks heaps i am using a 6gb mac disk img, with a iso of 10.3, i am using the newest build of pearpc and the f5 patch etc. config attached as requested, if it helps anyone.
