how are you guys transferring files from your harddrive to os x?

1) Place all the files you want to put in OS X in a folder

2) Use an ISO creating program to create an ISO out of the folder

3) Redirect "pci_ide0_slave_image" to your newly created ISO

There are other ways, this just works for me

Darn! Should have google for the combo update. I read and re-read the 10.3.3 update saying it needs 10.3.2 and I download that as well, guess I'll d/l the 10.3.3 combo to save time. Updating is a killer!

Not sure if you are aware, but there is a thread going on for a PearPC logo

I just saw Fozzieb's background for it & rememberd to drop a line here, you can grab some goodies there or contribut yourselves, or just give your opinion on the works there.

Just waiting for some OSX Iso's to try mine (Damn DMG's). Just sitting there doing nothing!

I tried installing 10.3 but I'm having some problems.

PPC quit while installing from CD1 saying "Error: Reset!" and when I boot back into PPC, I get an error saying there are no bootable partitions. I'm using the config file and instructions from the Neowin Guides section.

Any idea wahts wrong?

HellBender, it installed correctly but you have to edit the partition tables, go to this site:

http://www.emaculation.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=1102

and start at step 9

durr, they said the same thing in the guide I was reading, but I entirely skipped over that part. Maybe I should read before posting stoopid questions..

Oh well, I deleted my old image so im reinstalling now x_x

Hi folks,

Alright, I've been reading the posts and have heard a couple of people mention their pearpc is hanging at the grey apple screen when booting the OSX installation disk.

I have the same problem.

My config file etc.is good, I have read all the previous posts, and could use any advice you may have...

Hopefully someone out there knows whats going on.

Thanks!

dokkta: Open your config file and change the line "pci_ide0_slave_installed = 1" to "pci_ide0_slave_installed = 0" and all your problems will go away.

Phew finally got it working... Too slow to do anything very productive though :pinch: What can you do on here? 'net doesnt work yet does it? Where ya'll get them wallpapers from?

Nope, network ain't working on Windows. Yet. It's working fine under Linux though. Are you using the nightly build of PearPC? It's way fast than what was released by the dev.

Yeah, I'm using an optimized 5/25 trunk build.

I've been trying different redraw_interval_msec values, and I just set it to 1 and its beautifully smooth :) Takes about 30 seconds for something as simple as sys prefs to come up, but it looks good

Again, can I put custom wallpapers on here?

You must be greedy than. The speed improve is alot since the first release. :)

Well, simple things take a good minute to come up, I can online imagine how long Office would take :/

Hrm, I dont have to imagine :shifty: *digs around*

I do not really know if it will work but try this:

1. make a new bigger disc.

2. Mount the new disc as slave.

3. Use the "copy disc" function in OS X

Could work ...

I have download the 20gb hd but in the installer the hd don't want to show up. I think it's because the hd is not formated allready. Does someone know what to do
