Not only am I able to transfer stuff to the HD Image from within network neighborhood (or what ever it is called) I can more reliably use FTP to access PearPC. All you have to do is start FTP on the mac under the sharing preferences.

However, I haven't been able to get internet working (but I don't have control of the router to change it from 192.168.0.1)

jedavis1 what did u do to get sharing between the os's to work cause maybe i could get that to work for now

I have the following specs:

WinXP Pro with SP1 and all patches

T1 line with a DHCP firewall at 192.168.0.1 (I can't change this)

PearPC with full-screen and network patch

Panther 10.3.3 on a 6GB HD image

Installed the OpenVPN driver and set it to 192.168.1.200/subnet 255.255.255.0 (I don't know why I chose this)

In Panther I opened the network preference and poped-up the menu and it said it found new network device and I chose that and set it for manual configuration with 192.168.1.201/ subnet 255.255.255.0/ router 192.168.0.1 (it complains about the router not being on the same network or something but I click continue anyway)

Open the sharing preference in panther and set it to use personal filesharing, windows and ftp.

In Windows XP I selected My Network Places and selected "add a network place" and put in "ftp://username:password@192.168.1.201" the username/password of your Panther account. Then I double click this after it is created and I can push/pull stuff from the windows side (I haven't been able to share the PC because I am on a Domain controller that doesn't allow sharing of personal folders/PCs)

This is the portion of my config file for PPC.

# Network (wasn't available on windows-but is now!)

#

pci_rtl8139_installed = 1

pci_rtl8139_mac = "de:ad:ca:fe:12:34"

does ANYONE know how to rip this DVD?

I was able to create an ISO from my 10.2.7 DVD and get as far into the installation telling me that it wouldn't run on this kind of mac (10.2.7 is for G5's only)

I used the trial version of Alcohol 120% and used the ISO wizard. PPC booted off of it fine. It mounted it as a CD, but didn't complain.

#pci_rtl8139_installed = 1

#pci_rtl8139_mac = "de:ad:ca:fe:12:35"

Are commented out, see those # infront? that makes the program ignore those lines so jsut remove those 2 # signs from those and it should be fine.

ok when i use disk utlity in what format do i have to format the partion journaled ,estadard or extedent?

journaled or extended will work. I don't think OSX will let you install on a standard formated disk.
