0 Menge
no. that means you need the OpenTAP driver provided with the tutorial and the special build. it will add a virtual network connection to your pc
0 Adster01
OK i tried loading this, and it says: [TAP-WIN32]: Enumerating TAP devices... [TAP-WIN32]: Could not locate any installed TAP-WIN32 devices. [IO/rtl8139] <Error> Open enetif failed: Operation not permitted So this means I have to have a RealTek RTL8139 installed in my PC, correct? I have a few stored away in a box. Shall I install it? I hope not. I'm sure I have an Intel onboard network card.
0 panoz
eaglebtc: noop, you don't have to install a realtek card, just installe that openvpn win32 driver, enable ICS and you're off to go.. some minor changes in osx as well, but that's well documented.. sure you have installed the right openvpn driver and rebooted after install? 0 eaglebtc
*sigh* sometimes I wish the Neowin servers were set to 20 or 40 pages per post, instead of just 10. I'm downloading OpenVPN right now; is this what I need?

0 Litespeed
I DL'ed the 6Gb HDD image and installed 10.2 onto it. Everything seemed to go fine but when I reboot to the newly installed HDD, it just loops on "still waiting for root device". I've done the boot disk fix thingy of swapping the partitions around and that didn't help. I have however managed to install and run 10.2 successfully on my PC at home. Any ideas? :(

0 bolerodan
I'm out of ideas :(You're completely sure ICS is enabled? Try adding 192.168.0.1 and scwe3.on.cogeco.ca to your DNS list, just for kicks  thats the thing, how can we really tell ICS is working properly? do you have to tell ICS which other connection to share it with or do you just enable the checkboxes and it does it by itself? -bolero

0 eaglebtc
They should work on improving speed :( Are you using the JITC version? It's faster than the regular binary. The JITC's "processor" is about 40-50 times slower than your clock speed, but the I/O is fast and the graphics can be as smooth as you want (refresh rate). So if you have a 3.0GHz Pentium 4 @ 3,000 Mhz, then your PearPC will run like a 60Mhz G3.
