NO I used an image I had before. I actually had to play around with the boot method to get it to work.

Will this work if I copy my other PPC files into it? Because I was using a version with fullscreen and all

Somehow.. this has something to do with image files. If I use my already-installed OS X image file, PearPC works. If I use a fresh one (to install OSX), it video.x errors.

Awkard...

Hmm.

I am thinking maybe a moderator/admin here could create a PearPC section on the forums. Then move and split this topic. Or something. Getting crazy now with all these posts.

Yup lol.

As for the weird thing, somehow the video.x error isn't the error, because all that I'm doing is running the pearpc exe file and...

*Wow*

Okay, my appoligies. Ya see, I knew I overlooked soemthing :-). I'm giving the config file the value "video.x", without the path too it! As a quick fix, try copying video.x to the folder with your secondary image file (i put it in the primary, it didnt work, and i put it in the pearpcfront folder and it didnt work).

WOW! The SDL-0003 version works GREAT! It does feel faster now, but quicktime movies are still slow. The Real-Time Clock issue needs to be addressed as well.

Great job nilss!

SDL versions doesn't load for me at all.

Running "PPCSDL.exe good.config" does nothing at all

config:

ppc_start_resolution = 14
fs_refresh_rate = 60

redraw_interval_msec = 60

prom_bootmethod = "auto"

prom_env_bootargs = ""
prom_env_machargs = ""

prom_driver_graphic = "C:\PPC\video.x"

memory_size=0x20000000

pci_ide0_master_installed = 1
pci_ide0_master_image = "C:\PPC\HD-OS-X-Panther-PREP.img"
pci_ide0_master_type = "hd"

pci_ide0_slave_installed = 0
pci_ide0_slave_image = ""

pci_rtl8139_installed = 1
pci_rtl8139_mac = "de:ad:ca:fe:12:34"

pci_usb_installed = 1

nvram_file = "nvram"

u know why the sdl version dont work

cause u gotta download the source file/archive look at pearpc.net

then u gotta get the ppc-sdl.exe and the dll

then u compile in cygwin

see the sdl is compiled yet u cant just stick the ppc-sdl.exe in ure current ppc directory cause thats an different version

The SDL build doesn't support the fs_refresh entry in the config file.

Remove it or comment it out and it'll run.

Beware. In Windows the keymap is messed up, it's impossible to type in the virtual Mac. The shift key is G or something, all mixed up :laugh:

Edit: Heh, I'm a slow typer on 56k. Didn't realize someone gave the solution 2 minutes before me :p
