0 urizen
I've noticed that the "ppc_start_resolution = 8" setting sets a resolution of 1600x1200 in the SDL build, you might want to change that to something lower.
0 urizen
Nearly running at 1GHZ. ;) Can't get internet to work because it keeps bumping my wireless connection out when I bridge the two connections. New build is very fast though. Still a little slugish but its coming on really well. What kind of processor do you have for PearPC to display such a high clockspeed?

0 Pootis Spencer
Actually I just rebooted the MacOSX and it still showed the same speed!!
0 NetRyder
Booted up twice on my P4 2.4GHz laptop, and it shows up as a 700MHz G3. Although it's definitely not really that fast, this build shows some noticeable speed improvements over the last one. Good stuff
0 Menge
on my XP1800+ i get a 533Mhz G3 :p anyone noticed how anything animating onscreen takes deteriorates the performance of the emu? like when starting an app, if you hide the dock, the app starts MUCH faster because there's no icon bouncing on the dock
0 jkabaseball
well i've managed to boot w/nic, but it isn't being recognize by OS X. The XP shows an active connection, and the DOS shows it is reciveing but not being filtered? [iO/3c90x] indicate(00000010) mIntStatus now = 00000000 [iO/3c90x] acknowledge(00000010) mIntStatus now = 00000000 [iO/3c90x] EthTun: 250 bytes received. But they don't pass the filter. [iO/3c90x] Not uploading, because: mUpStalled(=0) or UpListPtr == 0 (=00000000) or not mRxPacketSize(=0) Also the new build of pre.3 is slower than the one yesterday, so could someone send it to me? 0 Rob2687
p4 3.25ghz HT shows up as 950mhz g3 :) running better than b3fore now..but the mouse is still alittle wacky in the sdl and i still cant get no internet, if i set it up manually, it connects but no surfing
0 syphern
I love the direction PearPC is taking, the new build is great. LOL I sometimes find myself just browsing the internet on safari just treating it like normal internet. Very nice build indeed (Y)

I'm talking about the one that has right-click enabled. Shift-F12 doesn't work on that one. Never mind. Got it. It's "F5". 0 Menge
You stole my idea!  sorry  didn't mean to. i just posted because it's not just with the dock. anything that animates onscreen (even the friggin mouse) takes cpu power from the emu. 0 ATLien_0
so i havent gotten the green light networking problem fixed one think i have noticed is that if u are running ure comp at 3-3.2 ghz pearpc shows around 900-950 mhz If u r running 1.8 ghz like i am it will show 533 mhz BUT remember with macs the speed is doubled to equal that of an intel processor so if ure running 533 mhz on pearpc that is actually 1066mhz
0 pctuk
What do you mean with the thing about doubled speed?

0 Rob2687
the amount of memory seems to affect the proc. speed. With 128 ram it shows approx. 950mhz, but with 256mb it shows 750mhz
0 ATLien_0
u sure i always heard that with the power pc processor that speed is doubled. Lets say u have an imac that is 200mhz that would be equal to a 400mhz pentium x processor. I really dont know if its true. But i read something about it in some Mac magazine
