Running Mac OS X on x86 PC!

Well I got the TAP device to show in OSX but I still can't connect to the net via it.

My router is set to another IP from the default.

ICS won't enable on my connection because it says that the LAN connection is using the same address.

Anyone help us out here please?

I had the same problem. my netgear router was using 192.168.0.1 and i guess that is what the ICS wants to use. Just go into your router setting and change your router's default IP, you can change the IP ranges while you are doing that aswell.

i changed mine from 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.1.1

and set the ranges up from 192.168.0.2 to 192.168.1.2, just change the 0 to 1 in the max ip range aswell

for what ive seen everyone is having networking problms with 10.3.4

For whatever reason, I have no problems. I downloaded the fullscreen/networking build, it worked fine. I updated to 10.3.4 which took a looong time.... between 4-5 hours, but everything is fine. Network is still working and all. I didn't change or adjust any settings.

Windows XP SP1 (plus all updates)

Pentium 4-M 2.4Ghz

512 MB RAM (256MB allocated to PearPC)

Is there a way to pick a windows share within PearPC? That'd be handy instead of changing ISOs.

I found using CuteFTP to share with my Mac really easy...

Under System Prefs, go to Sharing and enable FTP. In CuteFTP (Windows), Use the IP address you assigned to OSX, your shortname (login), and pass.

Cake (Y)

edit: Still can't get true file sharing working with Windows itself

I just unticked the 10.3.4 update because it seems people are having trouble with it and the net connection.

i still cant get os x to say my net car is plugged in in 10.3.4

I had this problem this morning, when I reinstalled OS X

Fixed it by going to Network Properties > Show > Network Port Configurations

Delete everything you can on this page. When you're finished

Show > Network Status

There should be only one conneciton left (or 2 if you have a duplicate), configure it with dummy info and go back to Network Status and see if you get the yellow light (Connected but no Internet). If you get this, configure it with the right info

Browser= Safari

Kinda crappy though.

Go to either download.com or Mozilla's site and download the Mac version of Firefox (in pearpc of course)

u know that saffari has the same features as firefox right, dl manager, pop up blocking and tabbed windows

I am just partial to Firefox....been using it (and previous variations) for a long time.

And I don't care for that Safari look so I got to change themes in Firefox lol.
