Galley
Dazzla, it looks like the keyboard might have a very faint green tint to it. The same "greenish blue" color that the mouse is. Am I seeing it right, or does it not have a greenish blue tint to it? Getting ready to order this set and want to make sure I know what it looks like.:DBTW, GREAT review! I don't really see any "green", but it is definitely the same color as the mouse. itsnotabigtruck
Instead of spending $200 on a diNovo, how about instead spending it on a Dell Axim X30 @ 324 MHz w/o wireless, or add $50 for 802.11b and Bluetooth. South Park
Unfortunately - DiNovo is not working with WinXP SP2  SP2 comes with Bluetooth 2.0 and that?s the problem. Logitech hasn't posted an updated driver yet. Any idea? Galley
I had the SP2 beta installed when I got my diNovo. I have had no problems. There is a solution if you go to Logitech's forums in the Bluetooth section. South Park
No, unfortunately there is not a solution in Logitech's forum, see quote: I installed WinxpSp2 and after i tryed to install my dinovo with your cd.During installation i had an error message. I cannt use my dinovo hub, 'cause winxp has already installed a bluetooth manage. Bluetooth Device. I pluged in a usb bluetooth pen and it works great but , i have to enable my hub. So do u have new driver or something else? Because your bluetooth device can't be installed with service pack 2, and Winxp bluetooth Device can't recognize dinovo Hub. Re: Bluetooth Hub of Dinovo and Win xp sp2!!! Aug 9, 2004 Miguel Oyarzun Have you tried installling setpoint v2.11 from the logitech web site? The 2.11 version does not include the Widcomm bluetooth stack... perhaps you'll have better luck installing that and using the MS stack included with SP2. Please, let us know how you make out. I haven't installed SP2 yet, and I'm dreading the moment I'll have to... South Park
That's weird. I installed SP2 final last night, and still no problems. Do you have Logitech DiNovo together with SP2? Could you tell us the procedure for installing the Setpoint s/w on a system with Windows XP SP2 Final installed? +unabatedshagie Subscriber¹ Posted August 11, 2004 Subscriber¹ Share Posted August 11, 2004 I had some problems getting mine to install. When I plugged the keyboard and mouse in they worked fine. However when I tried to install the software the mouse and keyboard stopped working and a new hardware wizard popped up and the setup refused to continue. I had to plug in a standard ps/2 ball mouse to get the setup to continue. bontakun
i've had no problems installing setpoint (1.05 then the update to 2.11) on sp2 final, my complaint is i'm having trouble getting the bluetooth hub to talk to anything else now, like my phone, i previously was using the sp2 beta (and then final) ms bluetooth stack, now i'm stuck with the widcomm, because the dinovo will only work with it (which i dearly hope they fix, i had the widcomm implementation, the ms one is soo much more reliable), i'm trying to figure out a way to run it off the xp sp2 bluetooth files, but so far it's only resulting in problems edit: update, got to work without using the widcomm stuff, just installed teh 2.11 drivers after wiping teh old setpoint and widcomm stuff, the problem is that windows just sees the bluetooth hub as a usb hub, so i have no bluetooth functionallity other than dinovo stuff Edited August 13, 2004 by The Beav Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/166171-logitech-dinovo/page/8/#findComment-584352498 Share on other sites
ND1169
why do you have a Ratpadz GS mousepad with a wireless mouse? kind of defeats the purpose ... anyone know of a keyboard that has laptop keys like this but without all the bells and whistles? mominsky
does this mean, as a diNovo owner, I should cancel my current installation of SP2 Final? Also....any of you who have had problems with the dinovo and sp2....did you try uninstalling sp2? did that help? Dazzla Veteran Posted August 27, 2004 Author Veteran Share Posted August 27, 2004 First time I installed setpoint on SP2 when it was installing the devices it stopped on the asking me if I wanted to use Win Update for the drivers screen. I had to plug in another keyboard and mouse. To avoid this, before installing setpoint go into system properties -> Hardware -> Windows Update -> "Never search Windows update for drivers". After this Setpoint will install flawlessly and you can reenable the feature if you wish. I've also had no problem communicating with other devices, I've sent files to my 7610 with no additional software installed, just accessing the phone via Bluetooth Places. All of the above was with SP2 2180 and Setpoint 1.05. kronik
if only Logitech sold the keyboard on its own :( some of us gamers prefer corded mice. real nice setup daz, i'm actually a tech junkie like u, or at least I hope to be one day  just a quick question for u, what kinda mouse pad is that? can u gimme a brand name or link im loosing hope with mouse pads, might open new post for this topic and ask around. mojomonkee
how much was that stuff??? how about reading the first page of the thread. in any case, quite a robust review with good pictures. i think my only gripe with this setup is that it integrates with the system, but not to MY system. i don't use outlook, messenger, or wmp so the media pad is useless for those functions. maybe logitech should allows users to define which email client, media player, and messaging client they use so that those who use thunderbird, miranda, and foobar aren't SOL. hell, even support for winamp would be cool. 2226
AAAaaarrrgggghhhhhh!!!!! $170+ down the drain!!!!!! I'm a dumbass!!!!!! Here's my sad story. Bought a dinovo some months back off eBay. Sweet as can be, but ofcourse no invoice. Then I battled keeping the darn bluetooth hub running for more than 10 minutes at a time on my dead-ancient home PC, only to realise it was actually my boards chipset that was faulty. New USB card sorted it out. Then the keyboard would disconnect from the hub overnight. Went on for about a week or 2. The CTRL key was starting to lose functionality, and then it died. Then I attempted to repair the faulty key (the little rubber pad under the key pops out of alignment), but somewhere along the line I worsened the disconnection problem that was showing up with the keyboard if left running overnight. I've never done a repair on such an overly-sensitive device (is new hardware really becoming so delicate?). Anyway, it's buggered. I have a mediapad and mouse, no keyboard. Now I see justdeals.com has refurbished items for $130! :) I need to know some information, and need to know it fast. Who bought these refurbs from justdeals.com? What were they like? Why would they be refurbed? Any problems (not software related) to date? Did you get a proper invoice from justdeals.com? If you had a fault with the keyboard, could you head back to Logitech with the justdeals.com invoice and have it repaired/replaced (seeing as they are factory refurbished items)? Anyway, I'm probably the first person to purchase 2 dinovos and ship it half-way across the planet and still come in under the local price in my country! And that means having a spare MX900. :) So any info on justdeals.com would be real cool. :) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/166171-logitech-dinovo/page/8/#findComment-584529157 Share on other sites
