FiREFLi Posted May 19, 2004 Share Posted May 19, 2004 100s of log files are appearing in my c:\ directory. :( I dont know where they come from or whta theyre for. Theyre all completely blank and on is created every 5 mins or so whenever the computer is on (i know this froma quick look at some "last modified" times/dates. I'm pretty sure itd be safe to delete 'em but you know... just to be safe i tohught I'd bring it here. Bold_Fortune Posted May 19, 2004 Share Posted May 19, 2004 I can't say what created them, or even if they will return once removed. They could go undetected by your spyware or anti-virus programs. Go ahead and delete them. (Incidentally, any .log file in C:\WINDOWS is perfectly safe to delete.) If they return, then further investigation will be required. I tihnk it might have been some stupid music player *COUCH*spyware*COUGH* that my sister got :/ She's always downloading stupid stuff that's blatently dodgy :( what's wrong with these people?
