The ball is coming at you at a fast speed, youre gonna need a glove. You could play with your hands if it were a beach ball...but you know that wont happen. Cricket players seem to manage just fine, and as far as I know a cricket ball weighs more then a baseball. lulolulito Posted June 3, 2004 Share Posted June 3, 2004 Yo, if you don't understand the game, ou wll find it boring, I was the same way wen i came to gringolandia, I tough of "FOOTBALL" as a stupid game, a game for dumb ass people who like to hurt each other, or even bette rmen in tights. the most boring game to me is baseball, even tough i love baseball now, i went to the world series last year when my hoome team the marlins won "go marliins!!!". still do baseball is a game the does'nt have much movement of people or the freaking ball. on the other hand soccer as we call it in the US is a game of movement and well coordination. you need to be very well trained to be running up and down the field for 90 minutes, not like AMERICAN FOOTBALL that takes a break everytime the ball moves. anyways soccer and basketball are the most played sport in the whole world period. my point here is learn everything about the sport before you make stupid coments about the sport or the people who play them. :ninja: corioto susuki ninja toyota kawasaki. Shibby Posted June 4, 2004 Share Posted June 4, 2004 Rugby is a true man's sport poor muscle pusing away, it's a good game to watch like wasps vs toulouse, that was a cracking match. and you got video coverage to get the view of what happen who did what, thus making the job easyer. and man the players they hardly freak out at the ref when something happens they just stand their and take it, belive me even with all this kindest to the ref and video coverage things get done quicker :) and makes it a more enjoyable match without grudges against people and a very fair game. axis Posted June 6, 2004 Share Posted June 6, 2004 People in America watch football over rugby because it is much more structured. Yet as structured as it is, the game is more complex then most. Do any of you people who bash football know what a running backs job is if he isnt handed that ball or what a quarterback has to do in 2 sec time period? It is so complex and until you have gone through a training camp or played it on some real level, you can not bash it. Rugby seems to chaotic for me, not enough structure, but I don't really want to try and understand it either. Soccer seems way to up in the air for me, it is to slow, to many people on the field and the field is to big. It is amazes me that those who like soccer don't always like hockey. It is almost the same thing but faster, smarter, tougher and way more physical. I never really hear anyone talk about soccer unless it is there country against its rival or in the world cup. MLS is just pointless, you get no rivalry like you would in international play. That is why I think the MLS will never catch on over here, America cares about its players, we are to stuborn to care about anyone else.
