Graphic Card Tester

hey, i am gettin graphical errors for no reason on desktop games just about everywhere ( i believe they are called relics :wacko: , i want to check if it is the graphic cards ram, i have a radeon 9700 pro windows xp service pack 1 all updates. What software could i use to check this. i dont want benchmark though!

also could it be a confilict with my creative audigy platinum EX?

Drop the sound card down one PCI Slot.

Goog ATiTool. Has a built in Artifact detetor. Won't tell you what component though.

yep it finds artifacts all the time. What can be done to get rid of them?

Can i have some information on system, CPU, RAM, Motherboard, PSU etc?

Is The Card Overclocked, or has it been?

2 things:

1. ati do realise that some cards come with defiective ram (ive seen it before and ati will give you a new one within about 2 weeks)

which brings me to....

2. artifacts show up in screenshots, so you can take one and show neowin :D

2600+ athlon Xp

Herculese radeon 9700 Pro 128MB

2x 512 DDR pc 3200 or 4000 not completely sure

GA-7N400-L with upgrade to F8

350Watt PSU

NO OVERCLOCKING DONE AT ALL

Send it back, thats faulty. Its artifacting & you havent done anything to it.

Do i send it straight to ATI, because its a hercules card. It was bought off www.dabs.com and is still under the 1 year repare there. I got the card end of december.Problem is artifacting doesnt always occur it comes and goes, :blink:

i think your supposed to use the return feature on the dabs.com site to get a rma and then you return it to dabs and they will get it repaired for you
