i am trying to log on to aim, but it says "connection refused by proxy." i am not using a proxy to my knowledge. i just used aim yesterday and it worked perfectly fine. anyone know what to do?

Check you havent set any proxy settings in AIM itself (if there are any...)

Click LAN Settings. That is where the check box for proxy is.

If it is specific to AIM, I wouldn't know. Don't use it

you install otsego recently? It changes your proxy settings so it can attach to aim. Look at the pic below and disable what I have hightlighted.

make sure proxy is not checked ;)
