String for play_count plugin:

First Tag: LAST_PLAYED Format: %Y-%M-%D $H:$M:$S

Second Tag: (leave this empty)

585873864

hmm, Seem to be getting a little bit closer each time. :) I didn't need the $H:$M:$S in the format.

Problem is that I played a lot of my tracks yesterday but as of this morning when I read your post and changed it they show up as today, I will give it a couple of days and see what happens with it.

585874977

can't get this to work :(, perhaps someone can suggest something I missed.

heres part of the globals config which has last_played in it.

// DATE & TIME CALCULATIONS
$if(%last_played%,
// calculate lastplayed-days since millenium
$puts(lastplayed_d-2000,$add(
$mul($substr(%__last_played%,3,4),365),
$select($substr(%__last_played%,6,7),0,31,59,90,120,151,181,212,243,273,304,334),
$substr(%__last_played%,9,10)))
// calculate days since last play
$puts(days_since_play,$max(0,$sub($get(system_d-2000),$get(lastplayed_d-2000))))
)

(If I change the first last_played then the last played column starts spouting gibberish) and heres the config for the last played column

// DO NOT change anything here !
// for configuration, see the "Globals"-tab !
// ============================================

// last played
$if(%__last_played%,
%_standard_color%
$ifgreater(%_days_since_play%,30,$left(%__last_played%,10),
$ifgreater(%_days_since_play%,1,%_days_since_play%days ago,
$ifgreater(%_days_since_play%,0,yesterday,
%_special_color%' - today - '
)))
$char(9)%_standard_color_low%$substr(%__last_played%,12,16)
)

and finally this is what I have in the playcount configuration.

First tag: last_played Format: %Y-%M-%D $H:$M:$S
second tag is blank

anyone have any ideas what I'm doing wrong? :)

I believe thats a part of the windows theme and\or visual style, rather then an application setting.

Anyway, Here's my latest:

In the bottom right, I need to figure out how o change that background and selection color.

For the spectrum analyzer, how can I have it not have a sunken border style?

Under the artist column, I've seen some people have it setup so it says the artist on track 1 of an albums line, then the rest of the album has a blank under artist. How could I get it so it'd be like that, along with the album name and bitrate in the same column?

Thanks.

For the visualization border, go to foobar's options, and under Visualization -> simple spectrum -> Border Style..

as for the album detection, its alot less clever then you would think - its a string check for tracknumber 1, if so, show artist, otherwise, dont display anything. something like this (under the artist column code):

$if($strcmp(%tracknumber%,1),%artist% %other_tags_that_you_would_like%,<empty string here so artist wont show>)

I don't have the simple spectrum subtree. =/

I'll try out that string and play around with it, thanks.

Hmm, the playlist stuff doesn't seem to be working, here's my config:

The vertical lines are just 1 pixel columns with a black background.

For the horizontal lines, put this in the "colour" tab for every column that has text in it.

$rgb(0,0,0)|

$rgb(255,255,255)|

$rgb(255,255,255)|

$rgb(75,100,125)|

$rgb(75,100,125)|

|

$if($stricmp(%tracknumber%,'1'),$rgb(0,0,0),$rgb(255,255,255))|

The single "|" in the second last line is needed.

The last line draws the horizontal lines.

Awsome, thanks for the tip. One last question.

//[%artist%]

$if($stricmp(%tracknumber%,'1'), %artist%)

$if($stricmp(%tracknumber%,'2'), %album%)

$if($stricmp(%tracknumber%,'2'), - %date%)

That's my artist column. On track two, it'll say, for example:

Jar OF Flies - 1994

I'm trying to make it so Jar OF Flies (Album name) is in white, and 1994 (date) is in black. How might I do this?

How you made Spectrum Analyzer at this height?

It's the only tab inside of the tabbed stack panel.

Nice & Clean. I wonder whats with you and dark colors though,

its like your black is deep-black-more-then-the-darkest-night, and your white is dark-grey ;p

Maybe your moniter is too dark or mine is too bright? I know I keep the one on the left very bright.

I downloaded a "theme", but it won't show the artists from songs without tracknumbers (single MP3s)

This is the code for the column:

$if($strcmp($num(%tracknumber%,2),01),

$if(%various%,%funder%,

$if(%soundtrack%,

%album% 8CDCF7soundtrack,

%artist%)

))

$if($strcmp($num(%tracknumber%,2),02),

$if(%various%,

8CDCF7%album%)

)

I'm kinda a newbie on coding so i wouldn't what to edit :p.

Hooray for simplicity!!

My whole desktop (slightly different scheme :p ), to give you a taste of the 'big picture'

But I'm liking these vertical configs that seem to be popular recently... very unique!
