Also, how do I make the foo_browser component mantain it's *Browser* playlist intact when foobar is closed? Every time I restart the program I have to add everything back again (from the Default playlist to the *Browser* one...).

I'm sorry to bother, but can anyone tell me where to find documentation on Columns UI's layout presets thing (the splitters and panels part which I can't understand at all)?

I want to have it iTunes style (Artists panel, them Album next to it -- both on top of the playlist, which exibits songs according to the current selection in the panels). I've found the foo_browser component, which is supposed to allow you to do the things I mentioned. So far all I could accomplish is a single top-side panel (the type - artists, genre, album, etc. can be selected with shift + right mouse button) with the playlist in the bottom.

It just doesn't strike as something very intuitive... any tips?

i'm still working in the guide, but it says howto do the columns_ui layout stuff :)

as soon as i've got more time (Exams at the moment) i'll carry on working on it!

Thanks for the help, I got it working =]

Now, if it's not too much of a hassle, can you tell me how you limited the lenght panel's width in the config you posted on page 290? I liked it very much, and would like to do something similiar (you used trackinfo for the song name on top part, right?). And the volume button seperated on the right, how is it done?

I have a...well it's not so much a problem, more a thing I'd like.

The album list panel...I view by directory. This gives me my albums, but the things that aren't in an extra folder within their genre (it's My Music\Genre\Album\tracks.mp3 but one of the folders has My Music\Genre\tracks.mp3) show in name order within the list but it doesn't group the folders (with files inside them) at the top with the single files below.

Another thing I would like to fix (more fixable I would assume, but I still don't know how to do it), is when I double click a song, it replaces everything in whatever playlist it goes to with the single track. I know you can shift+enter to add to playlist (and ctrl+enter to send to a new playlist), but I want to be able to double click and it add to the playlist it is set to go to (Library View, I think).

I have a problem with foobar: every time I try to put custom buttons, it only shows empty space. What should I do? I am using v0.9.1.

You have to make sure you have zlib and libpng in your foobar root directory

I want the Playlist to be on the left if possible, and the Track Info at the very top

use this layout

vertical splitter
|   |--track info
|
|---horizontal splitter
		|---playlist switcher
		|---columns playlist

Screenshot shows mixed album/singles, various artist album, indicator for missing tags T! and missing replaygain R! and lovely puke-green colour scheme. :x

Really nice brumal. Quite impressive coding I must say (for being such a novice myself). Not many .fcs that handles all three (single,album and VA) stuff that well at the same time. The colors might not be the most common or beautiful but they are easy on the eyes hehe

for trackinfo atleast:

align using $tab(), ie

sometext aligned left $tab()

$tab() some text aligned right

$tab() some center aligned text $tab()

new line break $char(10)
