It's because you haven't installed the fonts.

If by installing you mean extracting them to c:windows/fonts, then yes that was the first thing I did actually :s

I think you have to actually right click on them and click install, rather than just copying them to the fonts folder. I'm not sure the effect is the same.

Hmmm. Strange everyone else that's having those issues didn't have the fonts installed.

Thanks vizion! installing the font worked!

You're very welcome. Glad you fixed it :)

ah cr*p just noticed buttons are missing...

I've not read all the other posts above. I'm guessing if the buttons are missing its an images problem though. Have you made sure you've followed the readme to the letter and extracted them to the correct place?

Wasn't meant to be sarcastic. I forgot a question mark.

Meant to say:

Haha I saw the same thing happen to someone else in another thread a little while ago. Sometimes a little punctuation completely changes the way the sentence is read :p

be sure that foo_exvar.dll is in your foobar2000/components/ folder, this is the component that point to the images folder which MUST be : .../foobar2000/images/kameleon/

check your install (paths) and feel free to read the documentation on http://br3tt.online.fr/html/K/index.htm

I did the whole thing again, exvax is there, still no images, this is how my image folder look like:

C:\Program Files\foobar2000\images\kameleon

Still using it like that anyways :p

I have been trying to use Foobar for a while but I always give up. My main issue is Tags. I use iTunes and all my mp3s are tagged through that. Whenever I have tried Foobar it reads the tags incorrectly. Is it possible to have Foobar read the tags just as iTunes does?

Don't know if you or anyone still cares, but there is a id3v2 compatibility mode in the advanced tagging options. I don't know if it applies to both writing and reading, or just the writing of tags. However, it may be worth a shot. And to be fair, itunes is the one that doesn't write/read tags properly.

Hey Brett, love the theme and to be honest, Ive tried foobar2k before and never got on with it cos I could never get the themes to work.

Since I saw this thread yesterday, Im now using your skin and foobar2000 works very fast, looks fantastic and amazingly customizeable from the UI you made. Im figuring out what you can do in there bit by bit, but there is one thing missing.

Most of my tracks are tagged so they have multiple artists - example the Gorillaz CD has many different artists stored in the artist field as well as "Gorillaz", depending on the track. Because of this, the song list that shows up when you select the whole album is split up, grouping the same sets of artists together. It looks fugly and doesnt play in order correctly. Is there any way I can mod the list setup to order by Album Artist instead of Artist? All of my library is organised based on this field, not the Artist field.

Ive read through the documentation but its pretty long and Im a bit of a n00b on foobar, and cant really see anything in there about this.

Any thoughts?

well, my foobar used to look decent sometimes but, because it stays all day long hidden in the taskbar and I only use my keyboard, I thought I can settle with something simple.

i have to admit it used to look better with a dark theme...

I need help tagging my Mp3 files properly cause when i add albums in foobar i found that they are separated in 2 or 3 places instead of one but when i open them in Mp3Tag i can`t find a problem ? , also how can i group single different files in foobar as if they are one album ?

I just started using Foobar2000 on my PC (used to use iTunes on PC and Mac but PC blows). I know this is a dumb question that was probably answered on one of the 500+ pages but how do i make the album art show up. I downloaded an album art image and put it in the folder and it doesn't pick it up. Also i downloaded dBpowerAMP to edit the tag and assigned it the image file but still not working. Is there something i am missing? Sorry again for the noob question

I dont thing the playlist used on that skin reads embedded art, retarded but all too common on Foobar skins. It's most likely looking for "folder.jpeg" in the track's directory, so make sure your images are named as such.

Otherwise....

Right click on the playlist and select "Settings". Click on the "Field Definition" tab, double click "_ART.COVER_" then replace the existing string with the following,

$if3($findfile($replace(%path%,%filename_ext%,%directoryname%.jpg)),$findfile($replace(%path%,%filename_ext%,%directoryname%.png)),$findfile($replace(%path%,%filename_ext%,%directoryname%.gif)),$findfile($replace(%path%,%filename_ext%,folder.jpg)),$findfile($replace(%path%,%filename_ext%,folder.png)),$findfile($replace(%path%,%filename_ext%,folder.gif)),$findfile($replace(%path%,%filename_ext%,*.jpg)),$findfile($replace(%path%,%filename_ext%,*.png)),$findfile($replace(%path%,%filename_ext%,*.gif)),$findfile($replace(%path%,%directory%\%filename_ext%,*.jpg))$findfile($replace(%path%,%directory%\%filename_ext%,*.png))$findfile($replace(%path%,%directory%\%filename_ext%,*.gif)))

Click apply and you're done.

Finally updated my foobar to the latest version, and because of that, I had to completely rewrite my old PanelUI skin... this is what I have at the moment. It's not perfect, but it's getting there.

OS: Win7 (64-Bit)

-PSS

-ELP

-Biography

-and etc...

jenneth is there a plugin to pull the artist bio like that? I noticed something similar in Songbird for the 10 minutes I used it. Could be cool to add to my setup.

Yeah I found it earlier. But I just gave up trying to convert my layout to ColumnsUI. There seems to be no way to replicate what I have with Album List sorted by folder structure.
