Foobar2000 Customization Topic

Hey Waylander, why are you encoding normal albums into FLAC? Its not like you are transfering from person to person and need some lossless way to do it. Just stick to lossy codecs for albums that you got off a CD, you wont notice the diffrence on even 400$ computer speakers. Its mainly so that a live recording will stay intact and that it will never lose any quality.

as if having a lossless source was that useless, you can reencode it in whichever format you want, and i'm sorry to say that with a nice set of headphones, a good soundcard (which doesn't resample) and a good foobar configuration, you can really hear some (slight, i agree) differences. if diskspace isn't an issue, it really worth the size.

for a start my audigy isnt just connected to some $10 desktop speakers, i connect it to my Marantz's PM6010OSE and Eltax Liberty 5+ speakers, i also use Sennheiser Hd-570 headphones, not the best equipment in the world but it all gets decent reviews. i dont do everything losslessly just my favorite stuff, im a big fan of aphex twin/richard d james so have a lot of his stuff in either flac or ape.

i will say over the noise of my pc i often cant hear any difference but when using my headphones i can

haha you should view more posts per page ... only 38 pages :(

Anyway!

In your case 38 pages, but with about 1500 posts!

Maybe it's time for a new thread and to close this one!

Just to keep overview. ;) 1500 posts are enough for new users, i think.

right click the visualisation. There should be "fore colour" and "back colour" or something similar.

If they're not there, you gotta go into preferences and find it.
