CoolCatBad
Free AdFilter for Opera, quote; The filter.ini file is a hidden, undocumented feature of the Opera 7.5 web browser. This file contains a list of servers and server paths that are to be BLOCKED from inside of Opera. You can use wildcards (like Mozilla's FireFox ad plugin) to block paths, or block domains completely. Run the program. You will be asked to point to your opera6.ini file. The program will parse that ini and see if you have a filter.ini setup already. If you don't (which is likely), a default filter.ini will be created for you, and your opera6.ini will be updated to point to it. This only happens once when you first run OperaAdFilter. While OperaAdFilter is running, just right click any ad, select COPY IMAGE ADDRESS, and OperaAdFilter will pick it up and offer to block this image's path. Once added, you will never receive content from that path again! http://www.monroeworld.com/operafilter/index.php Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/176632-opera-ad-filter-10b/ Share on other sites

frease
Filter.ini has problems. It causes hanging on some pages. ( I can't find the thread that addresses this problem now.) The css method is recommended instead: http://my.opera.com/forums/showthread.php?...1144#post391144 Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/176632-opera-ad-filter-10b/#findComment-2260512 Share on other sites
