Olympus c-4000 zoom photo tips

I've been screwing around trying to take pictures of different things, but the one thing that always comes out crappy is weather photos or anything long distance. Even when the camera is set down and not moviing, things come out blurry. Here's an example I took yesterday of a wall cloud in Nebraska:

Thats a 4mp camera right? Well my best guess there is look for SPECIFIC settings to use with outdoor photos. Usually you have outdoor setting, but you can have sub settings within it. Im pretty sure that camera has specific settings for outdoors. If you cant find one I suggest you go the camera retailer you bought the camera from and ask him/her for the specific settings and if there are any.
