Windows XP SP2 RC2 Now released!

Recommended Posts

i just got RC2 installed and noticed that my system runs a lot faster now then the other builds :D

I guess MS have dropped some debugging/idwlog-code.

Suddenly I wish I hadn't made a slipstream of 2142. No way to uninstall a slipstreamed SP. Guess I will have to install WinXP SP1 over the current installation and then RC2.

A question...anyone here running a system with nForce2 chipset...SP2 has drivers for it?

Or should we use the NVIDIA's UDP?

I use the UDP. No "built-in" drivers in RC2 afaik. And I wouldn't use them anyway, just as I don't use MS soundstorm-drivers, barebone without control panel etc. (and actually crapped out my standard soundstorm drivers).

 So how is RC2 treating you? I have a long while before the download finishes. :$

I'm personally running MCE 2005 Beta 2 which is XPSP2 #2137 so honestly i'm not sure. I'll install RC2 on a test machine later but it's good reports all round at the moment.
