Windows XP SP2 RC2 Now released!

So let me get this straight, SP2 will not be able to be installed in an illegal copy, even though SP1 can. Is that correct?

it can be installed on ANY xp version as long as the product key is valid.

a bug in build 2096 (and others?) means that simply clicking the by phone button and following back into the activation screen would let xp create a key and load windows without any further problem!

A friend of mine uses the Devil's 0wn edition (VERY common Windows XP copy-varient that uses a widely known serial) and SP1 installed no problem. SP2 didn't however, because it mentioned the incorrect serial number so I assumed SP2 will only install on legal copies (unlike SP1, which can be installed on all copies). I just thought I'd ask...
