IlliniPi
I didn't really think there were that many rule differences besides the DH rules. Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/180153-major-league-baseball/#findComment-2318576 Share on other sites

xxpor
there are also "non-writen rules" eg. I belive NL pars are generaly "pitchers parks" whilest AL parks are "hitters parks" Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/180153-major-league-baseball/#findComment-2319120 Share on other sites
CatnipOligarchy
also, i believe AL games have a Midnight local time curfew. They may have done away with that rule but i remember it back in the mid-90s Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/180153-major-league-baseball/#findComment-2319196 Share on other sites

baseballpro9
All rules are the same in both leagues, except of course there is a DH hitting instead of the pitcher. Galley
The National League is 25 years older, if that matters. National League: 1876 American League: 1901 Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/180153-major-league-baseball/#findComment-2319579 Share on other sites
CatnipOligarchy
Definitely not a rule anymore. I was at a Yank game a few years ago that went way past midnight. i think it dealt with rain delays mainly. if it went to extra innings i think they kept playing.. it was something like if the game wasnt official by midnight, they would call it.. but im really not sure.. and it seems like they never really enforced it even when they would mention it on tv because fans would not be happy at all.
